Health by Design Project
FROM BEING DIAGNOSED WITH RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS TO A HAPPY, HEALTHY LIFE FREE FROM MEDICATIONS
It may be hard to believe, but getting sick was one of the best things that ever happened to me. Rapidly deteriorating health created a perfect storm that altered my life forever. But, if not for rheumatoid arthritis, I would be unable to discover my true self and have the courage to trust my intuition, dismissing many truths and beliefs as I climbed out of the dark valley of the disease. And the best part - it was not that complicated. Not at all.
After ninety days, life returned to normal. Then, after another ninety days, I reached health I never thought was possible for a 58-year-old guy. After four years, I see improvements every day. So, what's the secret? I searched for stories of people who challenged conventional medicine, achieving astonishing results. For people who trusted nothing and questioned everything. For rebels with an open mind. They inspired me to trust my body and see if I could do the same. After all, we are not all that different. The design process helped me to connect the dots, and I saw the world in a very different light. My health became a project in which I had to succeed. One of those career or life-changing opportunities that shape who we are. I saw it as an opportunity to challenge everything I knew about health because I had an unbreakable conviction that I would find the way out regardless of what doctors told me. Being healthy is a natural state - we were "designed" to be healthy, happy and full of energy.
Find out why I got sick and how "incurable" became "curable."
I am a designer, and throughout my life, I treated everything as a design project - from bookshelves or wine labels to my son's education and, most recently, my health - a project that spilled off, affecting family, friends and even a few neighbours. Over the years, I won many design awards. My work was featured in design magazines and showcased at San Francisco MoMA. But winning my health back is the best award I can imagine. Writing this book was also a project - a book I was searching for after receiving my diagnosis—an easy read with a simple solution because we have everything we need to be healthy. It is surprisingly simple.
HERE IS SOME READING FROM MY NOTEBOOK
“So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; Seek and you will find; Knock and the door will be opened to you.”
(Luke 11:9)
It's been four years since I reclaimed my health from the "incident" called rheumatoid arthritis. What a journey! And the best part: It's not over yet.
